Beazley Security recognized as one of the top 100 U.S. companies to work for in the 2025 Maya Culture Awards (MCA)

Beazley Security, the integrated cyber risk management firm wholly owned by Beazley Insurance, announced today that it was recognized as one of the top 100 U.S. companies to work for in the 2025 Maya Culture Awards (MCA). According to Maya, MCA winners were selected based on evaluations of more than 5,000 companies’ employee initiatives and results from anonymous surveys conducted with more than 20,000 employees in areas like innovation, with particular weight given to high response rates.

Since joining the company, Beazley Security CEO Alton Kizziah prioritized creating a strong company culture and values across the fully remote business. Employee engagement surveys are conducted annually, and recent surveys had over 85 percent in both participation and employees expressing satisfaction across all areas of their work.

“Our inclusive culture and strong team of people are the foundation of Beazley Security,” said Adrian Williams, Beazley Security Chief People Officer. “In this competitive industry, it’s more important than ever that we can attract and retain the best employees from around the world to deliver the best cyber security and risk management solutions to our clients. We’re proud that both our staff and Maya recognize ongoing efforts to champion our employees and support what matters most to them – both at work, at home and in their communities.”

A fully remote business, Beazley Security has more than quadrupled in size over the past two years, growing from 35 to more than 170 employees operating around the world, and with plans to add another 50 next year.

A big part of Beazley Security’s culture is a focus on empowering those employees. To that end, Kizziah engaged with employees at all levels to help define the company’s core values - Belonging, Accountability, Service, Integrity, and Curiosity (BASIC) - that guide Beazley Security’s rapid growth and customer interactions. The company also provides unlimited personalized career development and training, partly through working groups to ensure that aspiring leaders can spearhead important business initiatives like redesigning client quarterly business reviews processes.

An underpinning of the BASIC values is transparent communication. Beazley Security shares regular company-wide updates and holds town halls and open forums with leadership to ensure everyone understands the company’s vision, strategy, and how their work contributes to its success. Further, on a weekly basis, a recently-implemented employee recognition initiative encourages teammates to nominate and give public “kudos” to a colleague for their help, achievement or other contribution.

To ensure teammates are supported outside of work, Beazley Security provides both standard benefits like comprehensive health insurance, retirement programs, and charitable organization contributions, as well options for greater flexibility, including 90-day paid leave for any new parents, lifestyle allowances and sabbatical opportunities. Further, teams participate in community service projects wherever they gather in person, including building bikes for kids in need and putting together veteran service kits.
