Welcome to Beazley Security Services Limited’s Privacy and Data Protection Policy (“Privacy Policy”).

1. Introduction

Beazley Security LLC (“Beazley Security”, “we”, “us”, and “our”) takes the privacy of those visiting our websites (“you”) very seriously. This privacy policy (the “Policy”) describes our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing information that we acquire in conjunction with your access and use of our external marketing website at https://beazey.security (the “website”) and any other features, content, or applications provided via the website (collectively, the “Services”). This Policy describes our use and sharing of personally identifiable information, which includes your full name, email address, mailing address or telephone number (“PII”) that you may voluntarily provide to us if and when you register for certain services. The term “User” refers to visitors and to those who register for certain services.

I. Personally Identifiable and Other Information We Collect

We collect information from Users of Beazley Security’s external marketing website.

A. Information About Our Users

Users may wish to request information about us or our products, in connection with each of those items, you may be asked to provide information that could identify you personally, such as your name, company, title, phone number, email address, and/or mailing address. In addition, if you wish to register for certain Services, download certain information, or upload information, you may be required to provide certain additional information that can identify you personally, such as contact information, occupation, workplace, age, education, and other information. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any passwords they are given to access our website and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under their passwords. Information that you voluntarily provide that is not required by us is provided by you in your sole discretion.

We may supplement the information we collect about you online with outside records from third parties to enhance our ability to serve you, to tailor our content to you, and to offer you opportunities to purchase products or services that we believe may be of interest to you. We may combine the information we receive from those sources with information we collect through the website. In those cases, we will apply this Policy to any PII received, unless we have disclosed otherwise.

Our Services are not intended for use by children, and we do not knowingly collect PII from children under the age of 18. Children under the age of 18 should not provide any information on the website. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact info@beazley.security. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to delete such personal information.

B. Aggregated Data

We compile anonymous, aggregated statistics from Users for a variety of internal and marketing purposes. Such purposes include benchmarking, determining appropriate levels of hardware, determining the numbers of employees that will be needed to provide the Services to our Users, and reporting numbers of Users and/or websites that use the Services. This anonymous, aggregated data is not used in any way that can identify an individual person or User.

C. Website Viewing Information

Cookies

We and the service providers that help us provide the Services use small text files called cookies. “Cookies” are small computer files sent to or accessed from your web browser or your computer’s or tablet’s hard drive that contain information about your computer, such as a user ID, user settings, browsing history and activities conducted while using the Services. Cookies are not themselves personally identifiable, but may be linked to Personal Information that you provide to us through your interaction with the Services. A Cookie typically contains the name of the domain (internet location) from which the Cookie originated, the “lifetime” of the Cookie (i.e., when it expires) and a randomly generated unique number or similar identifier.

How We Use Data Collection Tools

Cookies help us improve the Services by tracking users’ navigation habits and storing users’ password, customizing users’ experience with the Services; enabling us to analyze technical and navigational information about the Services; and helping to detect and prevent fraud.

We also use other Cookies and other data collection tools (such as web beacons and server logs), which we collectively refer to as “Data Collection Tools,” to help improve your experience with the Services. For example, Data Collection Tools help us remember users and make the Services’ more relevant to them.

The Services also may use Data Collection Tools to collect information from the device used to access the Services, such as operating system type, browser type, domain and other system settings, as well as the operating system used and the country and time zone in which the computer or device is located.

Control of Cookies

Web browsers allow some control of most Cookies through the browser settings.
Some web browsers (including some mobile web browsers) provide settings that allow a user to reject Cookies or to alert a user when a Cookie is placed on the user’s computer, tablet or mobile device. Most mobile devices also offer settings to reject mobile device identifiers. Although users are not required to accept Cookies or mobile device identifiers, blocking or rejecting them may prevent access to some features available through the Services.

II. Use of Information Collected

We use the information you provide to us to give you access to information you request and to perform the Services; to improve the website or our Services; to customize your experience on the website or to provide you with specific content that is most relevant to you; to contact you with regard to your use of the website; for internal business purposes; and, for purposes disclosed at the time you provide your information or as otherwise set forth in this Policy. We may also use the information that you provide to us to contact you to further discuss your interest in our company and our Services, and to send information regarding our company or partners (such as marketing promotions and events). We store any voluntarily provided email we receive for archival purposes and for our own marketing purposes if we feel that it is consistent with the nature of the inquiry. The information is collected and stored in a manner that is appropriate for the nature of the data that we collect and the need to fulfill your request. This information is not shared with third parties for their own use, unless you specifically authorize such sharing.

If you have consented to receive promotional materials (e.g., newsletters) or notifications from us, we may periodically use your email address to send you such materials related to the Services. If you want to stop receiving such materials from us, you can change your profile settings. In addition, you can opt out of, or unsubscribe from, reminder e-mails at any time by following the instructions contained in those e-mails.

Non-PII information you provide to us may be used to customize the online ads, special promotions, emails, and other marketing information you encounter to those we believe are aligned with your interests. For example, based on your interests we might display an advertisement about one of our products or services that you may not be familiar with, or about an event that you may be interested in. The information used for this feature does not provide your PII or identify you as an individual to third parties.

III. Information Sharing and Disclosure

A. Non-Personally Identifiable and Aggregated Information

As described elsewhere in this Policy, we may customize the advertising and marketing messages you receive on the website, or may work with outside companies to do so. We may also perform statistical analyses of user behavior and characteristics in order to measure interest in and use of the various areas of the website.

Your non-PII may be shared with these companies so this customization can be accomplished. We prohibit these companies from sharing your non-PII with any third-party or from using it for any other purpose. Anonymous click stream, number of page views calculated by pixel tags, and aggregated demographic information may also be shared with our advertisers and business partners.

B. Law Enforcement and Assignment

We reserve the right to disclose your PII pursuant to a subpoena or other judicial or administrative order, when required by law, when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, the rights of our affiliated companies, the rights or safety of any individual or the public, and rights of our Users or any third-party. In addition, if we sell all or part of our business, make a sale or transfer of all or a material part of our assets, or are otherwise involved in a merger or transfer of all or a material part of our business, we may transfer your PII to the party or parties involved in the transaction as part of that transaction.

C. Storage and Transfer of Information

The External Marketing website is operated in the United States but is intended for users located around the world. If you are located in the European Union, Canada, or anywhere else outside of the United States, please note that information we collect will be stored in the United States.

In order to fulfill our customer contract obligations, we may access and transfer personal data globally. Beazley Security will comply with local laws and regulations regulating the storage, processing and transfer of personal data.

If information is transferred or processed outside of the European Economic Area, Beazley Security will comply with the GDPR to protect personal information.

D. Additional Information for California Consumers

IV. Choice and Opt-Out

In certain instances, we provide you the opportunity to “opt-out” of having your PII used for certain purposes when we ask for this information. For example, if you sign up for the Services but do not wish to receive any additional marketing material from us, you can indicate your preferences in your Profile.

If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter and promotional communications, you may opt-out of receiving them by following the instructions included in each communication. You may also update your profile on the sites that contain a profile and change your newsletter and promotional communications’ preferences.

You will be notified when your personal information is proposed to be collected by any third-party that is not our agent or service provider, so you can make an informed choice as to whether or not to share your information with that party.

V. Changing Your Information

Users and Customers may update or change their PII by editing their profile through a registration form or otherwise. We will make good faith efforts to make requested changes in our then active databases as soon as reasonably practicable. You may cancel or modify your communications such as newsletters that you have elected to receive from the website by following the instructions contained within an email or by logging into your user account and changing your communication preferences.

VI. Security

The security of your PII is important to us. When you enter sensitive information on our registration or order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (“SSL”).

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the PII submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

VII. Links to and Content from Other Sites

Our website may contain links to and content from other websites, and those third parties may collect website usage information and information that identifies the computer or device you are using when web pages from the website are sent to your browser. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such third-party websites. Third party websites are not under our control and we are not responsible for the contents of any such linked sites, any link contained in such linked sites, or any changes or updates to such sites. We are not responsible for any transmission received from any third-party websites including any webcasting or other methods of transmission. Links to such third-party websites are provided only as a convenience. We do not endorse any link to a third-party website made available through our Website. Your continued use of the website after we post a revised Policy constitutes your acceptance of the new Policy and its terms. If, however, we materially change our practices regarding the collection or use of your PII, your PII will continue to be governed by the Policy that was in place at the time you provided the PII unless we provide notice to you of the changes in the Policy and you do not object to the change.
