Beazley's Full Spectrum Cyber approach combines insurance, risk management, preparedness, response, and recovery capabilities into a coordinated ecosystem designed to strengthen organizational resilience.
It helps clients stay ahead of threats and recover quickly from cyber incidents, with proactive, responsive, and adaptive support through Beazley Security - a wholly owned cybersecurity company of Beazley.
Beazley Security provides detailed onboarding sessions to Beazley insured clients to ensure they have a full understanding of how to activate their policy, maximize their benefits, and improve their cyber resilience.
During onboarding, Beazley Security will explain what to do in the event of a cyber incident, how we assist you, and how to leverage other policy benefits alongside additional services.
We often encourage clients to report “early and often.” Report any suspected or confirmed cyber incidents involving your organization’s network and/or sensitive data, such as personally identifiable information (PII) or protected health information (PHI). Notifying early allows you to get expert help faster, so you can limit potential damage and get the most benefit from your policy.
There are three ways to notify Beazley of a potential cyber incident:
A Cyber Services Manager (CSM) will be assigned to the matter to guide you through the incident response process and coordinate with incident response vendors, as needed. These vendors may include:
A Claims Manager will also be assigned to support coverage-related questions.
Clients often express a concern that reporting an incident might impact policy rates or renewal. Cyber insurance is different from auto insurance. Organizations that notify of suspected incidents demonstrate that they are monitoring their cyber risks and taking them seriously.
Many organizations might also decide to provide notice of a circumstance and then, after further investigation, decide that there is no further need to engage services or open a claim.
Protecting client confidentiality is fundamental to how Beazley Security operates alongside Beazley Insurance. The two entities are legally separate, with distinct governance, systems, and strict information barriers in place. For any client of Beazley Security, the findings/results/outcomes of those engagements are confidential between the client and Beazley Security. This information is never shared with Beazley Insurance Underwriting or Claims by Beazley Security.
Beazley Insurance underwriters and claims managers are not privy to Beazley Security client information unless it is made known by way of the client or their broker. Although the two companies do collaborate and work on joint endeavors, Beazley Security is viewed as a “vendor” to Beazley Insurance. All information barriers one would expect are in place.
